In a thrilling final at UCN Arena, the Lazarique Carcajoules emerged victorious with a 6–4 win over the Eire Chaitliceach Seamróga, securing the inaugural Union Cup in front of a raucous crowd of 18,779 fans.
From the opening faceoff, it was clear that both teams were prepared for a battle. The Seamróga struck first in the opening period with a power-play goal from their captain, Ciarán O'Rourke, who blasted a one-timer past Carcajoules goalie Anton Dubois. But the Carcajoules answered quickly, as a brilliant solo effort from forward Malachai Roux tied the game at 1–1 before the first intermission.
The second period saw the action escalate. Eire Chaitliceach's forward Liam O'Connor netted his second of the postseason with a quick wrister, putting the Seamróga ahead 3–2. However, Lazarique responded with a pair of goals in a span of 2:47. Roux set up winger Elias Givens for a stunning top-shelf shot to even the score at 3–3. Moments later, a turnover in the Seamróga's defensive zone allowed rookie sensation Finn Gallagher to give the Carcajoules their first lead of the game at 4–3.
With the crowd in full roar, both teams exchanged heavy hits and near-misses as the intensity mounted. Midway through the third period, Lazarique extended their lead when Givens notched his second of the night, a power-play goal that gave the Carcajoules a 5–3 advantage. Despite a late rally from the Seamróga, with O'Rourke scoring again to pull them within one, the Carcajoules sealed the victory with an empty-net goal from Roux in the final minute.
Anton Dubois was stellar in net for the Carcajoules, finishing with 32 saves, while Seamróga goalie Sean Dunne made 28 stops in the loss.
The victory makes the Carcajoules' the first Union Cup champions in the Union of Christian Nations roleplay history, capping off a remarkable season. The players and fans celebrated long into the night, with the Union Cup proudly raised high in the heart of UCN Arena.
